EULOGY FOR JAMARKUS "MARK MARK" HARRIS
Sunrise: May 25, 1981
Sunset: October 30, 2025
Today, we gather not only to mourn a loss, but to celebrate the life and legacy of a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend JaMarkus "Mark Mark" Harris.
JaMarkus peacefully transitioned from this life on October 30, 2025, in
Fort Wayne, Indiana. Though our hearts grieve his passing, our spirits rejoice knowing that he has found rest in the arms of the Lord.
At an early age, JaMarkus accepted Christ under the leadership of Rev. Sam Shade at Pilgrim Baptist Church, setting the foundation for a life touched by faith, love, and quiet strength.
A proud graduate of Northrop High School, JaMarkus lived his life with a simple joy that inspired everyone around him. He loved watching movies and sports, playing video games, and cooking for himself often finding peace in those little moments of comfort that reminded him of family and home. His laughter was contagious, his heart was kind, and his presence brought calmness wherever he went.
JaMarkus's gentle spirit reflected the scripture in Matthew 5:9, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." He never sought the spotlight, yet his quiet strength shone brightly in the lives of those who loved him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to his devoted father, Jeffrey (Karen) Whitt; siblings, Contrall Harris, Laketcha (Richard) Walker, DeWayne (Lakeah) Rosse, D'Eric Whitt, and Andrea (Paul) Harris; nephews, DeWayne Jr. Rosse, Marvell Walker, and Traeven Harris; nieces, Aniya Rosse' and Brittany Walker; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Denise Harris, and his grandparents, Joanne and Joseph Harris, who now welcome him into eternal rest.
JaMarkus had a heart that was warm, humble, and sincere. He never met a stranger and even in his quietness, he spoke volumes through his actions of kindness and compassion. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him best and loved him most.
To the family though the pain is great, remember this promise from God's Word:
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." (Revelation 21:4)
Mark Mark's journey here may have ended, but his spirit continues in the laughter of his family, the love shared among friends, and the faith that sustains us all.
Let us not focus on how he left, but rather how he lived with love in his heart, peace in his soul, and faith in his foundation. Though he is gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.
Mark Mark will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
And to all who stood by him, encouraged him, and helped make his life better the family expresses their sincere appreciation. May the peace of God, which passes all understanding, comfort you and keep you in perfect peace.
