Jamel was a special soul his laugh and kindness were contagious he was outgoing smart humble. One of my memories that I still remembered was at Prometric Christmas party everyone was dancing in a circle and Jamel was in the middle taking turns dancing with all of us.
I'm speechless at this moment, I still can't believe that you are no longer here.
Rest easy my brother
love Vick

Jamel was known for his powerful throws on the mat, but when I was a sophmore and Jamel was a senior at Kubasaki High School, he suffered a back injury during an open tournament. After some down time, Jamel returned to practice with a much more technical approach to the mat. Not wanting to risk another injury. He took this method all the way to the Far East Tournament where at the finals he graced us with a beautiful 5 point through. This was so much sweeter since Jamel even participating in the rest of the season was up in the air. Jamel will be missed. I attached a photo from my freshman year. I was so proud to be on the kubasaki wrestling team posing for the camera. Low and behold, Jamel is posted up behind me dripping with excellence.

Jamel was a force to be reckoned with on the football field and on the wresting mat. But he had a softer side to him as well. I remember howhe would make us laugh in Ms. Nelson's Spanish class. (when he wasnt out running around in a plastic suit to make weight for an upcoming event). Our loss, Heaven's gain.
