Sorry to hear of Dr. Acabbo's passing. Today's Mass at St. Aedan was celebrated in his honor. I knew him late in his career, as head of the St. Aedan preschool, where my daughter attended.

Dr. Acabbo was an educational legend. For the past 50 years I have worked for him. admired him and followed him. His family was paramount in his life always recounting the family dedication to him and him to them.
He had many cherished moments with them and the Acabbo/Ranciato/Improta home was open to all (still is). CT has lost an exemplary educator, eternally faithful uncle, great-uncle and (in my case) friend. His Christmas birthday will be with me forever. God bless you, Dr. A.
