James Akerley Obituary
James Alan "Jim" Akerley (Age 66) was born February 17, 1958 to Donald and Mary Akerley in Bellingham, Washington and passed away July 23, 2024 in Spokane, Washington from pancreatic and liver cancer. James was born and raised in Bellingham and attended Bellingham High School. He married Victoria Akerley in Kennewick, Washington on June 4, 1990. Jim served his county in the Navy, and was a Jack-of-all-Trades. He could do anything from lawncare to working as a lumberjack. His real passion was spending time with his grandbabies. He was a very loving grandfather. He enjoyed teaching them to tie their shoes, cook, ride their bikes and the joy of hiking. Jim was a resident of Spokane Valley, Washington for 11 years.
He is survived by his spouse, Victoria Akerley of Spokane Valley; sons: Mark Stayton of Richland, Washington and Brandon Timmons of Eugene, Oregon; daughter, Missy Timmons of Spokane; Brother, Frank Akerley of Pasco, Washington; sister, Maryann Egan of Spokane Valley; 8 grandkids, Joe, Leland, Moana, Kaleb, Samara, Cassie, Jayden, and Tyler; and 1 great grandbaby, Julian. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Akerley.
