James Allen Obituary

He enlisted in the US Army in 1961, serving until 1972. His most valued accommodation was being part of the Airborne unit. He was proud of his service and loved his country.
He cherished spending time with family and friends. Those left to treasure James's memory are his wife, Fay Allen; his children and their families; Tony Allen, Cathy Scherdin and JR, Lacy Wood and Michael, and Bruce Meyer and Yvonne, his mother, Sybil Sims, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and patriot.

A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate the life of James Allen will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 4-6pm at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
