James "Jimbo" Arthur Anderson, 89, of Huntersville died August 8, 2025 at Iredell Memorial. He was born on July 30, 1936 in Buncombe County to the late James and Talulah Anderson Jimbo was known for his love of his Lord Jesus, his wife Brenda, his beloved Wolfpack, and not so long ago his need for speed. His huge smile and carefree attitude were never taken from him, even with years of battling a cruel disease. Jim remained happy up until the very end, always encouraging others with laughter many times, he truly believed laughter was the best medicine. Jim seemed to never realize how old was getting, and we all laughed at him just calling himself "an old fart." He will be missed greatly by his family and friends, but we all are smiling now that he is home with his Lord, and cherished Brenda. Survivors include son Michael Anderson (Dana) and daughter Lauren Oehler (Kelly). Grandchildren Sydney Oehler Dean (Bobby), Casey Oehler, Russell Anderson and Dalton Anderson. Sister, Emily Anderson-Reasoner. His wife Brenda preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Prosperity Presbyterian Church. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Prosperity Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 16. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. James Funeral Home is serving the family.
