James Jeffrey Ashe

May 28, 1958 – July 13, 2025

James Jeffrey Ashe, known lovingly as Jeff, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 67. Born on May 28, 1958, in Norfolk, Virginia, Jeff spent his life dedicated to his work and those he loved most.

He was a highly skilled ceiling mechanic, Jeff built a respected career in the construction industry. He was known for his strong work ethic, commitment to his craft, and the pride he took in a job well done. Beyond his profession, Jeff will be remembered for his quiet strength, his goofy sense of humor, and the love he held for his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Ashe, and his brother, Bobby Halsey. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his mother, Vivian (Gay) Ashe; his step-mother Peggy Ashe, his loving companion of 33 years, Becky Roberts; his sister, Donna Metcalfe (Steve); his children, Samantha Wright and Corey Ashe Sr. (Jenna); and his three grandchildren, Corey James Ashe Jr., Cooper Wright, and Alexandria Wright.

The family will celebrate Jeff's life with a small, private family gathering at a later date.
