Kenneth Eldon Ashe (Ken) 59 of Cullowhee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

Ken was born in Jackson County on November 24, 1964 to the late Eldon Bartley and Daisy Amarie Mull Ashe. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Ruby Bennett of Cullowhee and Wanda Jean Carter of Sylva…He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for most of his life. He was not very rich in material things, but Ken was blessed with an abundance of friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Ken is survived by his son, Kenneth Dustin Ashe (Jennifer) of Franklin; brother, George Eddie Ashe of Cullowhee; sister, Claire Peek-Dills of Bryson City; special friend and partner, Deb Jones, of the home; and many extended family members and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Appalachian Funeral Services.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help with funeral expenses. Funeral expense donations may be made through Claire Peek- Dills, PO Box 1005, Bryson City, NC 28713.
