James Author Beane, of Akron, Ohio, passed away at his house on February 6th, 2024.
James, known to his friends and family as Beane, was born to Boyd and Ellen Beane on March 29, 1958. Beane was the first in his family to graduate from high school. He was a service technician and eventually opened his own dry cleaners with his good friend, Dan Lemley, which they owned and operated for many years. He retired from M & L Equipment Company in February 2023. He enjoyed classic cars and water skiing, spending many hours on Springfield Lake with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two children, James Jr. and Tia, and his son in law, Bobby Lindeman. He is also survived by his brother, George, along with his two nieces Lisa Sutphin and Sara Wilson.
Calling hours for Beane will be from 4:30 to 6:00pm on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home located at 547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312 followed by a memorial service officiated by Beane's long time Pastor and Friend, Rev. Jeff Layton.
