James 'Bear' Webb, age 62, passed away on July 30, 2024.
A dedicated public servant, Bear devoted his entire adult life to the Loudon community, serving with the Loudon Police Department from 1987 until his retirement in May 2022. He proudly held the position of Police Chief from 2003 to 2022 and was a valued member of the Loudon City Council.
Bear loved spending time at his farm and collecting firearms.
Bear was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Willett Webb and Gilbert (Bud) Webb, and sister, Amy Webb.
He is survived by his wife, Tressea Webb; daughters Heather (Mike) Hodges of Loudon and Ashley (Jason) Irwin of Sweetwater; grandchildren Kenslee and Chase Hodges of Loudon and Chelsey (Jackson) Wynn of Ashland, Alabama; and great-grandsons Jack Barrett and Maverick Wynn, also of Ashland, Alabama. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Kay Roberts of Madisonville and Rhonda (John) Scharbach of Loudon; his brother-in-law, Mickye Trentham of Loudon; and his aunts, Dawn (David) Garrett, Nancy Willett, and Theresa Rimshaw, along with their families.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Blairland Baptist Church, 730 Steekee Street, Loudon TN 37774.
The visitation will be held on Friday, August 2nd from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Blairland Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 5:00 PM and will be officiated by Pastor Jon Henson. Interment to follow at New Steekee Cemetery.
