James Beeson Obituary
Born on November 10, 1940, in the serene setting of Lee County, North Carolina, James was the beloved son of the late James Yancey Beeson, Sr., and Thelma Johnson Beeson. He grew up with strong family values and carried with him throughout his life a commitment to service.
James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, demonstrating his patriotism and dedication. Following his military service, he embarked on a career in law enforcement that spanned many years, working as a prison guard and eventually serving as a sheriff's deputy. His unwavering commitment to maintaining safety and justice earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community.
Later, James transitioned to a role in security at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he continued to protect and serve, extending his influence and kindness to students and staff alike.
Outside of his professional life, James cherished his family above all. He found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. A man of integrity and warmth, James endeared himself to all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Joyce Elkins Beeson, who stood by his side through life's many journeys. James's legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date to honor James's memory and the impact he had on their lives. Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service in Asheboro is honored to assist the family of Mr. James Yancey Beeson Jr.
