James "Jim" Bishop, 75 of Fort Oglethorpe passed away on September 12, 2023 he has lived most of his life in the Ft. Oglethorpe area. He was a Georgia Mason, a member of the NRA, loved to fish, shoot skeet, and ride motorcycles.
He is preceded in death by his parents James & Blondine Bishop; and sister Barbara Kellott.
Jim is survived by his two daughters Hanna (Ralph IV) Hairsine, Jaclyn Bishop; sisters Wanda (Donald) Baker, Ann McKissick; grandchildren Theo & James Riley Hairsine, Heidi & Marlee Johnson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and the mother of his children Mary Bishop.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday Sept. 14, 2023 at Lakewood Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the parlor of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Parkinsons Disease Association at Donate to APDA and help people with PD live life to the fullest. (apdaparkinson.org)
