On Tuesday, October 4, 2022 James Blasco, loving husband and father of five passed away at the age of 69. James, fondly called Jim, was born October 30, 1952 in Riverside, CA as the youngest of five siblings. His family moved to Las Vegas, NV when Jim was 6 months old. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph, and mother, Mary.
Jim met his beloved wife, Pamela, in high school at 14 years old. Jim and Pam just celebrated 51 years of marriage. They raised 5 wonderful children: James Jr. Blasco, Sarah Joy, Andrew Blasco, Brian Blasco & Emily Mitchell. Jim leaves 4 grandchildren: Sienna, Bella, Maclin and Kora.
Jim has always been an integral part of the Las Vegas community and beloved by many. He is a Bishop Gorman and UNLV alumni. As a builder and developer, Jim watched the small town of Las Vegas grow in to the city it is today. His passions were his family, work and golf. His spirit was strong, his soul was pure, and his legacy will continue living through his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to New Vista in Jim's name.
Jim's vigil will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 630 - 8:30 pm. Jim's funeral will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11 am. A gathering will be held at Spanish Trail Country Club directly after the funeral for those who would like to attend.
