James Lee Bowling, age 72, of Moraine, passed away on October 3, 2025 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on July 31, 1953 in Hazard, Kentucky. James is remembered fondly by many for his jovial spirit; he was a jokester and a goofball to all who knew him.

James was an excellent father and husband, and his greatest love was for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them. He especially found joy in fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and happiness. His devotion to his loved ones was evident in all aspects of his life.

James leaves behind his beloved wife, Della (Conner) Bowling; daughter, Brandy (Michael) Neace; niece, Michelle (John) Plummer; great-niece, Elizabeth (Corey) Gump; nephew, Martin Watts; and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Irene (Shepherd) Bowling; sisters, Christine Watts and Charlene Bowling-Wilson; brothers, Leo and Billy Bowling; and grandson, Junior.
