Jeremiah Lee Wooton, of Wilmington,age 47, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on January 25, 1978, in Dayton, he lived a life full of joy, love, and memorable experiences.
Jeremiah was a proud alumnus of Fairborn High School, where he cultivated his outgoing and charismatic personality—an individual who would light up any room he entered. Following high school, he dedicated part of his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped his character and instilled a sense of duty that he carried throughout his life.
Jeremiah began his career in sales in various auto dealerships. Most recently, he was a professional salesman who worked for Clinton County Motor Sports. Known for his vibrant spirit and love for adventure, he enjoyed golfing, bowhunting, and singing and playing his guitar. Jeremiah was also a devoted football fan and relished the thrill of riding his motorcycle during his free time.
He leaves behind his daughter, Ashton (Ethan Jones) Wooton; step-daughter, Raven (Devin) Herchenbach; parents, Theresa and Raleigh Wooton; brothers, John Humphrey and Joey Wooton; best friends, Brandon (Brittany) Shores, Brent (Tami) Schrader, and Jack Schrader; and numerous extended family members and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn and Elbert Wooton, and Leo and Helen Murphy; uncle, Jim (Leila) Wooton; and aunt, Linda Wooton.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Miami Shores Baptist Church. Family and friends may visit from 11:00AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to a favorite charity in memory of Jeremiah.
