James Howard "Jim" Boyles, age 92, of Townsend, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Born in Sudlersville, MD on July 7, 1931, he was a son of the late Alonza F. and Martha J. (Lowman) Boyles. Jim proudly served our country during the Korean War and was a Navy veteran. He was a professional carpenter and retired after many dedicated years.
Jim found peace while tending to his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed listening to country music. One of Jim's favorite things to do was take long cruises down to Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway in Tennessee. Most of all, Jim loved the time he shared with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Boyles; sons, Blaine Boyles (Linda) and Randy Boyles (Denise); grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Ryan and Sean; siblings, Mary Duncan and Robert Boyles (Mary); and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. A committal service will begin at 11 am on Friday, May 3, 2024, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
