James Elmer "Jim" Brammer, Jr., age 72 of Marion, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. On April 16, 1949, he was born to the late James Elmer Brammer, Sr., and Merian Elaine (Blinn) Brammer in Marion, and on February 15, 1975, he married his late wife, Susan Faye (Augenstein) Brammer.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army, and he was employed at Tecumseh in Marion for many years until their closing. He then worked for 17 years as a box stitcher at Mid Ohio Packaging. As a member of First Presbyterian Church, he served as Deacon and was the dedicated Sunday custodian and groundskeeper for many years. He was fond of angels and eagles, and he enjoyed shopping at antique malls and Goodwill.
He is survived by his daughters Sara (Jamie) Konvalinka and Molly Brammer; his granddaughter Susan Konvalinka; his nieces Jennilyn (John) Summy, Kaileigh Brammer, and Breanna Brammer; his great-nephews Jaxon and Preston; and his great-niece Nevaeh.
He was preceded in death by his wife Susan Brammer, his parents James and Merian, and his brother Alvin (Pamela) Brammer.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 143 S. Prospect St., Marion. Services will follow at 12 pm at the church. Burial will take place at Marion Cemetery.
