James Edward Bronson, entered eternal rest on Saturday July 22, 2023 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Born on January 7th, 1965 as a fraternal twin boy to Ruth E. Tindle Bronson and Charles H. Bronson Sr, in Port Chester, NY. He is the 10th of 11 children. He attended the Yonkers Public School System and remained a resident for over 25 years. Intermittently, he resided in Rocky Mountain, NC then moved to Schenectady, NY between 2000-2001, where he resided until his earthly departure.
James was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Schenectady, NY where he sang with Echo Male Choir, participated with the Men's Culinary Ministry, and contributed to various other church duties. He wore many career hats working as a Certified Nurse's Assistant, Home Health Aide, Fast Food Cashier, Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor at numerous chain hotels and concluded his career working as a Bus Monitor with Northland Transportation Company. There was never a dull moment with James. His very lively presence demanded his environment reflect the same, no matter where he went or was. If he wasn't singing, dancing, or making jokes, he was making you do it. He had a love for music, cooking, always dressing to impress and being surrounded by family and if you were a friend to James, you were family. From elders down to children he knew how to make all feel welcome, seen and heard. He would always show up for anyone and everyone he could, no matter the occasion. A kindred and generous spirit, he would always come bearing gifts and a sense of enthusiasm that shifted from the atmosphere of any room, accompanied by his bright smile you could see from a mile away. Unfailingly, the life of every party, his unique, vibrant nature and unapologetic stature, without a doubt left an impression on everyone he encountered.
He is preceded by parents, Ruth and Charles Bronson and sister Karen Tindle Nickelson (of Virginia). He is survived by and leaves to mourn, partner/roommate Stanley Hepburn (of Schenectady, NY); six sisters; Sophia Tindle Huff (Hartsville, SC), Beth Bronson, Patricia Bronson, Sharon Jackson, Jacqueline Bronson (Melvin) Miller, Veronica Bronson (all of Schenectady, NY), and three brothers; Charles H (Chantiay) Bronson Jr. (Augusta, GA), twin-John E. Bronson (of Kokomo, IN) and David (Selena) Bronson Sr. (of Stormville, NY); nine nieces and fifteen nephews, along with a host of both grand and great nieces and nephews; childhood best friend Milton Dent (of Harlem, NY); beloved pet companion "Harlem" and many cousins, friends and co-workers alike.
The family of James E. Bronson would like to express sincere gratitude to you all for the cards, flowers, and loving, kind words and messages of condolences shown following his passing. We deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness. The greatest comfort during our sorrow was the expression of sympathy conveyed to us in a myriad of ways.
As James would always say LOVE IS LOVE!
