James Brooks Obituary
Mr. Brooks was born on November 24, 1954, in Newnan, GA, the first son of Jack and Jewel Brooks. David grew up in Manchester with his brother Tim Brooks and sister Judy, graduating from Manchester High School. He spent 25 years in Columbus, GA, and retired as a locomotive engineer with Norfolk Southern after a long career of dedicated service. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren, and spent his remaining years traveling the U.S. to spend time with them. He was a Christian who had a strong relationship with God. He had attended Living Waters Church and River of Life. "Gooby Out"
He is survived by his three sons, Jason, Mike, and Chad Brooks, two siblings, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous other extended family members.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
