James Bunting Obituary

Born on February 23, 1956 in Brynmawr, PA, he was a son of the late James Robert Bunting and Marie Therese Wackerman Bunting.
James served in the US Navy honorably and was a former US Navy Seal, Seal Team 1 and was a member of the Fraternal Organization of the U.D.T./Seals and the Murrells Inlet Yacht Club.
Preceeding James in death were his parents, 1 brother, John F. Bunting and a great aunt, Bertie Leota Dwyer.
Surviving are his wife Dorothy of Surfside Beach and 2 daughters: Cassia Anne DiSerio and her husband Dustin DiSerio of west Chester, PA, Jennifer Marie Bunting and her husband Thomas Ermmarino of Surfside Beach; 1 granddaughter, Alyssa Marie Ermmarino, 2 grandsons: Dylan DiSerio, James DiSerio and 1 sister, Jane Marie Smith of West Chester, PA.
A Celebration of Jame's life will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Conch Cafe (on the beach), 1870 Waccamaw Drive, Garden City, SC 29576.
In lieu of flowers James suggest that you "Take A Child Fishing".

I remember when I was a new guy at SEAL Team ONE in 1979 and Jimmy immediately took me under his wing. He was perhaps one of the funniest Team guys that I had the honor to serve with. Jimmy was a great SEAL and friend! God bless Jimmy and the Bunting family!
