James Robert Peebles, age 89 and Carolyn Troutt Peebles, age 84, of Holladay, TN passed away on August 3, 2023 at their residence. Mr. Peebles was born on April 4, 1934 in Benton County, TN to the late Weis Peebles and the late Opal Hicks Peebles. He was also preceded by his stepmother, Margaret Peebles; sons, Jeffrey Peebles and Timothy James Peebles; daughter, Robbie Peebles; brothers, David Peebles, Donald Peebles, Robert Peebles, Edward Peebles, Adrian Peebles and a sister Brenda Pulliam. Mr.Peebles loved motorcycles, fishing and hunting. He was Baptist in faith and loved his wife and family dearly.
Mrs. Carolyn Peebles was born on November 12, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late William Bigeck and the late Alvira Bigeck Chickerello. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Charles Chickerello; daughter, Edith Troutt Martin and a brother, Vincent Bigeck. Mrs. Peebles was retired from H.I.S. and Carhartt. She was also a homemaker and Baptist in faith.
Mr. Peebles is survived by: Daughter: Kimberly Moczynski of Demotte, IN; Brothers: Dennis Peebles, Wesley Peebles, James (Sandy) Peebles; Sisters: Judy Medlin, Eliza (Charles) Mayberry, Alma Haley, Shirley (Corey) Rosian; Grandchildren: Christina, Amanda, Vincent, Uzziah, Ayvah; Great Grandchild: Peyton
Mrs. Peebles is survived by: Son: John Troutt (Nelda Blaylock) of Camden, TN; Grandchildren: Chasity Hutsell, Jennifer Troutt, Brianne Chappell, James Blaylock, Pamela Blaylock; Great Grandchildren: Chad Hutsell, Austin Hutsell, Nevaeh Vestal, Jocelyn Anderson, Madison Payne, Kayson Troutt; Son-in-law: Larry Martin of Hollow Rock, TN; Brothers: Ronald (Donna) Bigeck of Arizona, Donald (Pat) Bigeck of Arizona; Sister: Pat (Larry) Maddox of Illinois; Numerous nieces and nephews
A Memorial services for Mr. & Mrs. Carolyn Peebles will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 3 PM at the Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doyle Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 pm.
