James Caskey Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 5, 2025.
A graveside service for James "Jimmy" Edward Caskey, 69 of Natchez, MS will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 12PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025 with Bro. Glen Walker officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Jimmy was born on Wednesday, November 9, 1955 in Laurel, MS. and passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 in Natchez, MS. He was a lifelong resident of the Miss-Lou, known for his steady hands, kind heart, and loyal spirit. He worked as a lab technician, but his true joy came from crafting and creating-whether it was a porch swing, a set of cabinets, or anything that let him work with wood. He was a big softball fan and an even bigger LSU football supporter, rarely missing a game. Jimmy loved to travel, especially alongside his beloved wife, Debbie. Married right out of high school, they shared 51 beautiful years together filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering love. Jimmy's life was a reflection of his devotion-to his family, his craft, and his community-and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, JC Caskey, and Mary Ellen Thompson Smith; father-in-law, Roger Waller, and mother-in-law, Cindy Lee Byrnes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 wonderful years, Debbie Waller Caskey of Natchez, MS; uncle, Claude Thompson; brother-in-law, Roger Dale Waller Sr., special niece and nephew, Kaytlyn McDonald and Roger Waller Jr.; special cousins, Benton Swillie, CJ McDonald, Liz Walker, and Suzie Swillie; and a host friends that are his chosen family.
