James Paul Clark

James Paul Clark, age 87, was born on March 18, 1938, in Gilmer, Texas, to Luther and Nadine Clark. He passed from this life on February 21, 2026.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on March 28, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he built a successful career in the oil and gas industry as a self-employed oil and gas equipment supplier. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication to providing for his family.

A faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Alexandria, James especially cherished his fellowship with the Adult III Sunday School Class.

Above all, James deeply loved his family. He was a devoted and beloved husband, a steady and faithful partner to his wife, Delma Ann Clark. Their 14 years of marriage were marked by love, companionship, and unwavering commitment. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, always offering quiet strength, wisdom, and encouragement. His family was his greatest blessing and his most treasured joy.

James is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Delma Ann Clark; his daughters, Tanyss Kay Clark Evans and husband Howie of Keller, Texas, and Jesslen Renee Clark of Hunt, Texas; and Tawana Clark of Van Alstyne, Texas, widow of his son Charles.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Zachary Evans and Luke Evans (children of Tanyss); Nathan Clark (son of Charles and Misty); and Jenna Clark (daughter of Charles and Tawana). He was blessed with one great-granddaughter, Taylyn Janae Clark, daughter of Jenna.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Clark; his son, Charles Edward Clark; his previous wife, Lana Clark; his parents, Luther and Nadine Clark; his sister, Gloria Clark Mazurek; and his brother-in-law, Lawrence Mazurek.

Honorary pallbearers will be the male members of the Adult III Sunday School Class of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

James will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to his family, his faithful love as a husband, and the legacy of faith and hard work he leaves behind.
