James Allan Coltharp, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Born on February 12, 1946, James lived a life defined by dedication to family, hard work, and the outdoors. He spent his professional career as an accountant with Del Monte Foods, where he was known for his reliability, integrity, and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, James was an avid, lifelong fisherman who found great joy on the water. Some of his happiest moments were spent boating and fishing at Lake Shasta, a place that held many treasured memories for him and his family.
James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Coltharp, and his son, Ricky Coltharp. He is survived by his two daughters, Sandra Hunter and Christine Mader; his sons-in-law, William Hunter and Jeffrey Mader; and his five grandsons, Joseph Brown, Zachary Mader, Maxwell Brown, Nicholas Brown, and Jacob Mader, and his granddaughter, Lilian Hunter, daughter-in-law, Amorr Brown, and great granddaughter, Aurora Brown, who were a great source of pride and joy in his life.
James will be remembered for his quiet strength, love of nature, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the memories shared with those who loved him.
