James D. Cooper, 80, of Washington, PA, passed away on September 1, 2025, at Premier Washington Health Center. Born to Howard and Thelma Cooper, Jim graduated from McGuffey High School in 1963.

On November 24, 1967, he married his beloved wife, Pamela S. Cooper. Jim dedicated his career to truck driving, initially working for Forbes Steel Corporation in Canonsburg and later for Overnight Transportation and Estes. However, his true passion lay in caring for the 154-acre family farm he inherited from his parents, where he and Pam raised their two children, Donald (Teresa) and Colleen.

Jim and Pam, who were just shy of their 50th wedding anniversary at the time of her passing, were known for their strong work ethic and the values they instilled in their children.

They cherished spending time with close friends in West Virginia, enjoying many parties and chicken roasts.

A veteran and lifelong animal lover, Jim enjoyed learning new skills and working with his hands.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services, and the burial will be private.

Arrangements are entrusted to Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323. (724) 663-7373 www.youngfhinc.com
