Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home - Kalamazoo from Aug. 4 to Aug. 5, 2022.
James "Jim Cox, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Jim was born in Battle Creek, on April 16, 1949, the son of James Henry and Dorothy (Showerman) Cox. On October 27, 1972, he married Carla Decker who survives him.

Jim was an avid photographer. He also enjoyed music. In his younger days he had motorcycles and liked fast cars. He was a golfer and fisherman. Jim and Carla loved going to South Haven to watch the sunsets. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Jim is survived by his sons, Dason (Nicole) Cox of Portage, and Zachary (Sarah) Cox of Mattawan; grandchildren, Morgan, Alex, and Cooper; siblings, Sharon (Al) Fahlen, and Dennis Cox; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. James was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life luncheon to be announced shortly. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, in c/o the funeral home.
