Mr. James Robert Crane, age 72 of Meansville, died Tuesday August 27, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Crane was born on February 15, 1952 in Pike County, Georgia, to the late Grover Crane, and the late Emma Lee Hay Crane. He retired from Swanton Welding as a truck driver and was a member of Pike County Old Tractor and Equipment Club. He was a member of Christ Chapel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Freddie Crane, sister, Yvonne Young.
Survivors include his daughters, Shelley (Andy) Winkles of Barnesville, Sherrie (Salvador) Maldonaldo of Thomaston, son, Sheldon (Barbie) Crane of Thomaston, sister, Lindie Morris of The Rock, grandchildren, Nick (Jessi) Crane, Tyler (Megan) Winkles, Hannah (Nicholas) Kennedy, Carlos (Marisa) Maldonado, Bailey (Russell) Middlebrooks, Ana (Christopher) Hope, Esteban Maldonado, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
