James Crisp

James "Jim" Crisp, age 71, of Williamston, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on April 15, 1954. Jim lived a life marked by quiet strength, resourcefulness, and a deep love for the people around him. In August, he faced an unexpected diagnosis of aggressive renal carcinoma. He met that fight with courage, a side of sarcasm and the steady resilience that defined his life.

Jim was the kind of man who showed up when needed, fixed what he could, and loved his family fiercely. He found joy in the outdoors, in simple moments, and especially in the company of his children and grandchildren, who were the pride of his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Megan (Kris) Moore and Brittany (Jordan) Landau; his grandchildren Lorelai, Keira, Bryce, Josie, and Vash; his sister Marcy Kauffman; and his brother Brian (Sue) Crisp. He was preceded in death by his brother Rick Crisp, sister-in-law Brenda Crisp, brother-in-law Tom Kauffman, as well as his parents, Helen and James Crisp.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, when family and friends can gather to share stories and honor Jim in the season he loved most. Details will be announced closer to that time.
