In Loving Memory of James Scott Cross

James Scott Cross was a man whose kindness, laughter, and love touched every life he encountered. Born on January 19, 1971, to his mother Pamela Winn Mahan and James grew up surrounded by family and faith that shaped him into the caring, hardworking, and devoted person everyone knew and loved.
James met the love of his life, Patria Joy Lemoncito, in California. The two were united in marriage on January 9, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with three wonderful children: Jilan Bernice, Jayden Eugene, and James (JC). James was also a proud father to his two older sons, Troy Lee Foster and Jonathan Myles Cross.
James faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he pursued a career as a truck driver and, through hard work and determination, eventually became an owner-operator. His strong work ethic and perseverance inspired those around him. A true sports enthusiast, James was an avid fan of the Arizona Wildcats college basketball and football teams, as well as the NFL Las Vegas Raiders. He found joy in simple pleasures-his love for coffee, chocolates, and spending hours working on his computer. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching series and movies of all genres, often sharing recommendations with friends and family.
Above all, James will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and caring brother. He is survived by his sister, Jessika Mahan, step father Dwight Mahan and family, who will honor his memory. His warmth, humor, and big heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will live on in the love he gave and the lives he touched. Forever in our hearts, James, your light continues to shine in all of us.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00am - 1:00pm, at Powell Funeral Home in Bradford.
