Rachel Lin Petty

Rachel Lin Petty, age 63, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 in Searcy, AR.
Rachel devoted her life to caring for others, especially children. As a career kindergarten teacher, she touched countless young lives with her patience, creativity, and warmth. She had a special love for babies and a remarkable ability to make every child feel safe and valued.
Her faith was at the center of her life. She had a deep passion for the church community and found joy in serving the children's class. Rachel loved arts and crafts, creating things with her hands, and enjoyed being able to connect with people. She was always ready to call and "just visit" with friends or family. Her warmth and kindness made her someone everyone loved to be around.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Petty; two children, James Petty and Robbie Nieman; eight adored grandchildren, Kinley, Katie, Greyson, Kyler, Beau, River; a brother, Randy Brown (Rhonda) of Conway; a sister, Rhonda Fairfield (Irvin) of Russellville; two nieces, four nephews and many dear friends and former students who will forever hold her in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Brown, Dorma Brown and her forever baby girl, Elizabeth.
Her warmth, laughter, and compassion will be remembered and cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
Her memorial will be held on October 17, 2025, at Denmark Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 1pm and funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 2pm.
