James A. Daniels, seventy-four of
Savannah, GA. transitioned from this life on September 30, 2025. He was born in Sylvania, GA on December 30, 1950. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lurine Dowers and John U. Seabrooks.
He graduated from Tompkins High School with the class of 1971. He retired from Lowes of Savannah in 2005 and began pursuing his passion for cruising and spending time with his wife and family. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tides fan, seldom missing a game. In his later years, James became a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and experienced many miracles in his final days, including unexpected recoveries that amazed his doctors and moments of profound peace that brought comfort to his family.
James is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Charlene Daniels. He leaves behind two sons, James J. Daniels (affectionately known as J.J.) and Rasheem A. Daniels, Sr. (Sheemie), as well as his cherished grandson, Rasheem A. Daniels, Jr. (R.J.). In addition, he is remembered by his bonus daughter, Kieara Williams, and two bonus grandsons, Kingston Williams and Josiah Gillis. James is also survived by his two brothers: Ron Pinckney (Lecia), known as Bossman, of Atlanta, GA, and Ronald Pinckney, also known as Omar-Tiny, of Pooler, GA. His extended family includes his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Barnes (James) of Pooler, GA, and Ernestine Lambert of Bluffton, SC, as well as his brother-in-law, Donald Lambert of
Savannah, GA. He is lovingly remembered by his uncle, Herman Murray (Georgia Ann) of Newington, GA, and his aunt, Marieta Jenkins of
Savannah, GA. Among his beloved cousins are
Hattie Lou Walker (Ray) of Sylvania, GA, and Issac Elliott Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. James is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
