James Ben Davis, 82, passed away at his Old Fort, TN home on April 12, 2024. Born on March 10, 1942, the good-hearted, bluegrass-loving, knife-trading man was a legend in the propane industry, working in the industry for more than 30 years.
Ben leaves behind his loving daughter Julie Staton and her husband Billy; daughter Jana Baker and her husband Freddy, and son Jimmy Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Janie, as well as his former wife Jane, the mother of his children. Among those who will miss him dearly are grandchildren Haylee, Tucker, Lauren, and Warren, his siblings Bill, Linda, Loretta, and his great-grandchildren Lyla Grace and Jack.
Join us in celebrating Ben's life at his upcoming graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens on April 17, 2024, at 1:30 pm. Before that, come and share your memories at the visitation at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland starting at 11:00 am. Let's honor the life of a man who enjoyed every moment in the mountains of Tennessee, hunting with his beagles, trading knives, and tapping his foot to some good old bluegrass music. Rest in peace, Ben. May your memory live on in our hearts forever.
