James Davis, 82, of Circleville passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born on October 9, 1943 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio to Eldon and Helen (Smith) Davis. James, an Army Veteran retired as a registered nurse for the Veterans Administration. He was a grad of Murray State and did attend Israel Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a member of Amvets Honor Guard and Fun Bunch Cloggers. He loved woodworking, birdwatching and cats. He loved traveling and his grand and great grandchildren. His treasured accomplishments were his family and the military. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Delbert, Richard and Danny Davis. James is survived by his wife Beverly (Wolf) Davis; step children Joyce (Doug) Gifford and Amy (Dave) Spencer; grandchildren Miranda Kinker, Kelsea Gifford, Matthew Spencer and Sara Rose; great grandchildren Beau, Tayte, Quinn, Ridge and Lorelai; brother Robert Davis and sisters Patricia Lynn, Maxine Shipley and Ann Cochran. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow at Hitler Ludwig Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Amvets Honor Guard, Circle Area Humane Society or a charity of choice.
