James DeKay Obituary
James was born September 24, 1953 in Lisbon, ND; son of the late John and Helen (Berggren) DeKay. During his childhood, his family ended up in Wisconsin, where he graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High.
Following high school, James proudly served his country. He served nearly two years in the U.S. Air Force, until his Honorable Discharge in 1973.
James had an exceptional ability to shoot guns and was a phenomenal trap shooter. In fact, he was inducted into the Trap Shooters Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and playing pool. Above all else, James was an exceptional person. He was always willing to help anyone out and was the best brother Jerry could have asked for. James truly had a heart of gold!
James is survived by his brother, Jerry DeKay.
James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen.

Jim was a good guy and fun to be around. Ron Benrud and Dorene Evans send our condolences. we all shot trap for years and knew each other very well especially Jim& Ron
