James Allen Delaney 49 years old, passed away on July 10, 2022, at Berea Hospital. James was born on November 2, 1972, in Lexington, KY to the late Roberta Lee Gipson and Walter Isaiah Delaney. James was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Isaiah Thomas Delaney and Joshua Henery Delaney.
James had several siblings, Walter Phillip (Mary) Delaney, Tamara Lynn Lear Townson, Angie Thacker, Vickie Spivey, Donna (Kenny) Branham, Bobby (Cristi) Abner, Timothy Allen Phillips, Misty Smallwood, and Lynn Eden.
James was the father to several children, James Robert Delaney, Dylan Shane Wilson, Jerri Samantha Delaney, Ashley Bane, James Allen Delaney II, and Margaret Denise Hope Delaney. James also had several grandchildren, Arayah Hope Gadd, Ezekiel James Lee Gadd, Brycton Jesse, and Ayden Bane, Aubree Faith Winkler William, Holden Hatton, and Daisy Adele Hatton.
James had three surviving uncles and five aunts. Daniel E. (Pat) Delaney, Elizabeth Simpson (Buck Flannery), Lettie (Dan) Sexton, J.J. (Joe) Gipson, Wayne (Muffin) Gipson, Sandy Biggs, Dorthy Johns, and Esther Handley.
James was a kind and wonderful person. He had a huge heart and tried to help everyone who needed him, he was a retired truck driver. James could build and create anything with his hands he had a wonderful gift and loved woodworking. He loved to go dancing, music, but mostly of all he loved his family. He was a member of Kirksville Baptist Church.
