James E. Derfus

James E. Derfus, age 62, of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 9, 2023. Jim was born on March 12, 1960 son of the late Geraine and Marcella (Boehnlein) Derfus. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by a sister Shirley and a brother Gerald. Growing up on the family farm, Jim chose another career path becoming a cheesemaker at Foremost Products. Survivors include his aunt Mrs. David Derfus, many Boehnlein and Derfus cousins; special friends, Seth and George Neuber, Ruth Breitenfeldt and the Breitenfeldt family and neighbor and close friend Mark Olsen and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 23, 2023 at the Kessler-Fahrenkrug Funeral Home 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Stockbridge.
