James Edward Dimock, 83, of Wauchula, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 3, 1941, in Miami, Florida, he was the son of Robert Dimock and Lois Patton Dimock.
James dedicated his career to the construction industry as an operating engineer and was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He moved to Hardee County in 1976, where he became a cherished member of the community. Known for his adventurous spirit, James enjoyed gambling and had a particular fondness for playing lottery scratch-offs.

James is survived by his children: Kimberly Andrews of Estero, Florida; Ricky Dimock of Daytona, Florida; Tracy Fullerton and Ron Fullerton of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Jimmy Dimock and Wendy Dimock of Wauchula, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Goddard, and Jim Goddard of Temple, Texas, along with seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A private family service will be held to honor James's life and legacy.
James will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and a zest for life that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
