James Patrick Donnelly passed away on January 28, 2025, surrounded by his daughters and has moved on to be with his wife, Vicki Donnelly (Martin) and the Heavenly Father.
James resided in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was a great man who loved sports, using tools, fixing things, and being around family.
James was born to Michael and Catherine Donnelly in Long Beach, California in 1945 and had a sister, Betty Leimgrubler (Tim) and two brothers, William (Mary Ann) and Robert Donnelly. After moving to Houston as a teenager in the early 1960s, he lived there for over 30 years starting and raising his family. He moved to Shreveport in the mid-1990s where he enjoyed the rest of his life.
He loved his family, daughters, grandchildren, and being a basketball referee and a softball umpire. He will truly be missed.
James is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Soileau (Steve), Katherine Bilotti (Joseph), Michelle Femino (Arthur); his nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Cameron, and Slayton Soileau - Julia, Amelia, and Cecilia Bilotti - and Victoria, Sarah, and James Femino; along with his partner, Kathy Smith and her son, Richard Smith.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Barnum, Texas.
