James "Doodle" Allen McDonald, III, departed from this life on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at age 57. James was born December 17, 1965, in Weatherford, Texas to James McDonald, II and Wanda (Ruth) Berry.
James was a retired truck driver who made a living hauling building materials. He was also a former volunteer firefighter for Gordon, Texas. James enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his wife, Amy Barry of Lipan, Texas; children, Gina Mujica of Azle, Texas, Erica Hernandez of Colorado, Krystal McDonald of New Mexico, Kasi McDonald of Mineral Wells, Texas, James Allen McDonald, IV, Phillip McDonald, Rene McDonald, all of Gordon, Texas, and Ashlynne Barry of Lipan, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; mother and stepfather, Wanda and Jim Berry of Weatherford, Texas; sister, Rhonda Silver; and grandmother, Hotinia Rister, both of Millsap, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
