He was born on January 23, 1943, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late William Bernard Dover and Anna Mary O'Neil.
Jim is survived by his 3 children: Fawn Hofer, James Dover, Andrew (Erica Durst) Dover; sisters, Beth and Martha; grandchildren, Krysta (Joe) Bates, Brittany Hofer, Amber Hofer, Noelle (Joe Morrison) Hofer; Anson Dover, Porter Dover, Collins Dover, Rory Dover; great grandchildren, Cameron, Danison, Parker, Ava, Ellie, Aiden, and Jake.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue (Danison) Dover; 3 sisters: Judy, Jackie, and Julie.
Per Jim's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
