James Lacy "BoBo" Dowless

James "BoBo" Lacy Dowless, 61, of Bladenboro passed away at his home on Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Taylor Dowless; two brothers: Robert Dowless and Delane Dowless. BoBo leaves behind his father, Dewey Dowless; son, Austin Dowless; daughter, Laci Jo Scott and husband Reese; brother, Rickie Dowless (Tina) and sister, Vickie Dowless; daughter in law, Sherry Dowless; four nephews, Ricky Dale Dowless ( Brandi); Curtis Dowless ( Brandy); Nathan Dowless (Ashley) Jeremy Dowless (Emily); several great nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Abbottsburg, NC, Bobo was a lifelong resident of Abbottsburg, NC. He grew up working on the farm and later became an excellent welder. Through the years he had also worked as a carpenter and in construction. If you ever met Bobo he would leave a lasting impression on you and you would never forget him. He would do anything to help you. He will be missed and will never be forgotten!
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 17th in the PineCrest Cemetery in Bladenboro. Rev. Ronald Hester and Clifton Kinlaw will officiate service. Due to the COVID epidemic, all attendees are asked to please wear masks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to any charity of your choice.
