James Dunlavy II, a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2023, at the age of 56. Born December 19, 1966, in
Wichita, Kansas. James lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
James, or "Jamey" as he was affectionately known, is survived by his beloved wife, April; his children, Kennedy and Keaton; mother, Rita Dunn; siblings, Pam Stucky (Ryan) and Craig Dunlavy (Anna); mother-in-law, Marguerite Gamble; nieces and nephew, Shaelin and Alaina Dunlavy, Bailey and Blake Stucky; and a host of amazing extended family, friends, and colleagues.
James was a passionate sports enthusiast. He was an avid golfer and a passionate supporter of the University of Oklahoma sports. He took immense pride in his daughter's cheerleading events and his son's football and baseball games. He cherished the time he spent with family taking road trips and spontaneous day trips. James' family was his greatest joy, and he will be remembered for the love and care he provided to them.
James graduated from Wichita State University, where he pursued his education and developed a strong work ethic. He had a successful career as an Estimator at Midwest Steel Fab LLC, where he was a valued team member and friend to many.
James' life was a testament to his loving, handy, and intelligent spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to his family and work that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his memory will live on through the love and kindness of others.

We will gather to celebrate James' life Saturday, June 3, 2023. We will remember a man who lived life to the fullest, always giving his best to those around him. His memory will be cherished, and his impact on the lives of those who knew him will never be forgotten.
