James E. “Jim” Peters, 90, of Pleasantville, passed away on January 23, 2025 at the Pickering House. He was born to the late James A. and Melinda Peters in Vinton County, Ohio on May 11, 1934.
Jim is survived by his children, Randy (Jackie) Peters and Michele (Scott) Snedegar; grandchildren, Chad (Jodie) Snedegar, Amber (Daniel Louis) Snedegar, Rachel (Vasily) Shatalov, Ross (Brittaney) Peters, Cherice (Jeremy) Brown, and Joel (Kinsey) Snedegar; great grandchildren, Wendell, William, Sofya, Grace, Ethan, Emmalee, Ella, and Ilya; siblings, John Donald (Donna) Peters and Janet L. Peters; step-sister, Cheryl Hasson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Ruth Peters; parents James and Melinda Peters; sister, Joan Perkins and Jackie Lawrence; and step-brother, Gene (Jean) Hasson.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12 PM at the River Valley Life Center, 2190 Coonpath Rd NW, Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore. Family and friends may visit from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at noon on Wednesday.
