James A Ebach

James "Jim" Ebach, 69, rural Drake, ND died on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck after a lengthy hospitalization due to complications from a stroke.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the spring at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Balta.
James Anton Ebach was born June 21, 1954 to Anton and Margaret (Hamers) in Rugby, ND. He grew up on the farm in the Balta, ND area where he learned about farming, ranching and fixing vehicles and many other things too numerous to mention. Jim's working career was driving truck for various road construction companies over the years. He lived in the rural Drake area where he raised cows, pigs, and chickens. He loved to go fishing and cooking his catch, as well as deer hunting. One of his greatest joys was getting time to spend with his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his sons, Derek (Casey) Ebach, McClusky, Justin (Kayla) Ebach, Mandan; grandchildren, Hunter and River Ebach, Rayden and Braxten Wanner, Brayden Lauer and Sheyenne Ebach, Robert, McKenzie and Samantha Ebach; siblings, Donald (Susan) Ebach, McClusky, Irene Heilman, South St. Paul, MN, Wendlin Ebach, Rugby, Maryann (David) Mears, Fargo, ND; uncle Richard Hamers of MT; many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheree Ebach; siblings, Rose (Ray) Volk, Edward Ebach and Rita (Larry) Thomas.
