James Ralph Eberly better known as Jim Eberly age 84 of Whitleyville passed away at The Waters of Gainesboro on Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was born May 2, 1940 in McPherson, Kansas.
He was the son of Ralph Clayton Eberly and Ruth Ellen Eberly. On January 17, 2007 he was married to Karen Kaye Herring Booker for a total of 17 years of marriage. He was a Veteran of the US Army and worked on ships as a merchant marine. He was a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Ann Fletcher.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Eberly of Whitleyville; son, Matthew Eberly of Collierville, TN; daughter, Elizabeth Eberly of Ohio; step-son, Randall (Veronica) Blanchard of Murfreesboro; step-daughter, Susan Blanchard of Carthage; brother, Robert Eberly of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Karon (Jack) Pennington of Wichita, Kansas, Sharon McDonaugh of Wichita, Kansas and Margaret (Phil) Edwards of Colorado; 2 step grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren also survive along with nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held at the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church.
