James "Jimmy JimBob" Evans September 14, 1960 – September 23, 2025
James "Jimmy JimBob" Evans, 65, of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 23, 2025. Born on September 14, 1960, in Lowville, NY, James was a proud wrestling graduate of the Saratoga Springs High School Class of 1978.
James was a man of many talents, known for his boundless curiosity, craftsmanship, and tireless work ethic. Over the years, he poured his heart into numerous ventures - from managing the Serotta Bike Shop, to contributing his skills at Mulholland's OnCall, to ultimately forging his own path as a respected historical restoration specialist. His dedication to preserving the past and honoring the stories embedded in old buildings reflected the deep respect he had for history and heritage.
James is survived by his two sons, Henry and Mitchell Evans, who were the pride of his life; his loving partner of many years, Laurie; and his siblings Linda, JoAnne, Steven, Arthur, Thomas, and Mary. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a passionate, hands-on problem-solver, a storyteller, and someone who always had a project on the go and a tool in hand.
A Celebration of Life will be held in James's honor at Spa State Park on October 18th at 1:00 PM. All who knew and loved James are welcome to join in remembering his life and legacy. Contact Mitchell for any further information 5186827082 Thank you all for your love and support.
