James E. Fletcher, 92, of Tupper Lake, NY passed away on September 23, 2025 at the Tupper Lake Center. Funeral services will take place Monday, September 29, 2025 at 2:00PM at Frary Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 12:00PM until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery following the services. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Tupper Lake.

He is survived by his children, James Fletcher Jr., Robert Fletcher, Jennifer (Mike) Facteau, Suzanne (George) Zanelli, Jesse Lee (Shawn Nadeau) Fletcher, and Billie Jo Fletcher; his grandchildren, Nichole (Zach) Bliss, Danielle (Andrew) Graham, Michelle Posson, Diavalo (Amie) Fletcher Sr., Jaromiah (Kathleen) Fletcher, Rylee Fletcher, Rebecca (James) Wilson, Ryan (Ashlee) Facteau, Olivia Zanelli, Mallory Keniston, Stone Keniston, Cassidy Kentile, and Kayla Fletcher; his great-grandchildren, Lily Pike, Logan Pike, Reese Fletcher, Diavalo Fletcher Jr., Jase Fletcher, John Fletcher, Luke Fletcher, Ayden Peck, Kayden McCallops, Garrett Fletcher, Scarlett Bliss, Desiree Lagoe, Axle Graham, Asher Graham, Alivia Graham, Ava Posson, Eric Posson, Wyatt Wilson, and Sawyer Facteau, ; a sister, Mary Chapman; extended family, Tina (Mark) Bradley, Gregory Chapman, Tami Chapman, Dylan Miller, Maxwell (Cassidy LaFountain) LaClair, and Jackson LaFountain; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, Leona Sawyer, Dorothy Jagiello, Leo, Earl, Ray and Donald Fletcher; and his brother-in-law, Ray Chapman.

Jim was born in Tupper Lake, New York on October 7, 1932, the son of the late Howard and Jenny Mae (Macy) Fletcher. He attended local schools in Tupper Lake where he was a great athlete. Jim enlisted in US Army in 1953 where he served overseas until his honorable discharge in 1955. He worked as a police officer for Tupper Lake Police department for almost 20 years then as a forester for Kavanaugh Logging, and later worked construction for Larkin's.

Jim had a lifelong passion for collecting scrap to recycle and took great pride in his junkyards. In his earlier years, he worked hauling pulp and logs, and could often be found tinkering away in his garage. He loved telling stories and deeply cherished the time he spent with his family.
