James Kent "Jim" Freeman

James "Jim" Kent Freeman, age 66 of Snellville, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, due to heart failure.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kent Wayne Freeman, and is survived by his wife, Dora Lynn Freeman; son, James "Jake" Kent Freeman (Emily); grandson, Caleb Freeman; daughter, Aleah Dora Freeman (Turner Ryan); mother, Barbara Ann Wofford Freeman; and brothers, David Freeman (Lou), and George Kirk Freeman (Laurice).Jim dedicated 35 years of his career to Macys Systems & Technology, but his true passions were the moments spent with family and friends. He found joy in hiking Yellow River Park with his beloved dog, LaShay and relaxing by his fire pit with his best friends Larry, Mark, and Danny. They all enjoyed vacationing in Destin at Topsl Resort.
A lifelong fan of classic rock and Mississippi State sports, he also cherished watching old movies and making others laugh. He took great pride in coaching and managing his sons club soccer teams and cheering on his daughter in her cheerleading days. He especially cherished being a grandad to his grandson, finding his greatest happiness in family and the memories they shared.
The memorial service to celebrate the life of Jim Kent Freeman will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
