James Foster Gilreath, 72, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on October 22, 2022. He was born on December 14, 1949. He is the son of the late James Fred Gilreath and the late Laura Mae Morrow.
Mr. Gilreath was a hard worker in the construction field. He was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church in Villa Rica. Mr. Gilreath enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid supporter of Villa Rica football, and he enjoyed attending car shows.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Gibson Gilreath and son-in-law, Michael Hancock and brothers, Johnny Gilreath and Tommy Gilreath. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Tim and Tiffany Gilreath of West Union, SC and Tommy and Tiffany Gilreath of Villa Rica, GA; daughter, Rebecca Hancock of Temple, GA; sisters Beverly Higginbotham of Douglasville, GA, Mary Gilreath of Villa Rica, GA, and Patricia Mauldin of TN; brother and sister-in-law Rev. Michael Gilreath and Anita of Carrollton, GA; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
