James Henry Gipe II, age 52, of Montrose, Colorado passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.

Jimmy was born in Denver, Colorado, on June 23, 1971, to James Henry and Kathleen Donalla (Roemer) Gipe. He grew up in Arvada, Colorado, and graduated from the Trapper Creek Job Corps. He moved to Montrose in 2014 and lived there until his death. Jimmy worked as a die sink machinist and also belonged to AA. He retired in 2014. He had a passion for music and learned to play the guitar and harmonica by himself. He also liked drawing, reading, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding dirt bikes with his brothers. His favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Kathleen Donalla Roemer of Indio, California; his father, James Gipe of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; his kitty Tigger, brothers, Jeff Gipe of Brooklyn, New York, and Jon Gipe of Arvada, Colorado; his uncle, Ron Perry of Arvada; aunts Mazie Perry and Lisa Blevins, both of Arvada; cousins, Sherri Perry (Brett) Mitchell and Matthew Perry, all of Parker, Colorado, Cindy Griffith, Ryn Zimmerman, and Billy Zimmerman, all of Longmont, Colorado, George Gipe of Montrose, Kathy Graves of Thornton, Colorado, and Ted Graves of Kansas City, Kansas.
His grandparents, George and Jane Gipe, and Donald and Betty Roemer; his aunt, Patricia Romano preceded him in death.
No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy's name to the Salvation Army at www.salvationarmyusa.org the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or the Center for BRCA Research at www.brca.uscf.edu
